The Position
Loreto Kirribilli seeks to appoint a Director of Professional Practice and Research. This is a new position responsible for leading the development and implementation of professional learning initiatives, driving research-based practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the school. The role aims to enhance teaching quality, including leadership development and career progression, through innovative educational practices in ensuring the school remains at the forefront of pedagogical excellence.
The successful candidate will oversee Teacher Professional Practice, Leadership Development and Career Progression, including performance appraisal for teaching staff, Professional Learning Teams (PLTs) and Accreditation of Teachers and Leaders. The innovative educator will lead research initiatives to inform instructional practices and enhance student outcomes and oversee Teacher accreditation with NESA for pre-service teachers and beginning teachers. The appointee will support the Principal in fostering a cohesive school community and assist in the continuing development of a culture that is in harmony with Catholic tradition, the charism of Mary Ward and the heritage of Loreto.
The successful candidate will be a visionary leader with a pedagogical background who possesses implicit knowledge of teaching and learning and school leadership. They will demonstrate a strong understanding of best practice teaching and learning and understanding of regulatory and accreditation requirements for teachers.

Loreto Kirribilli is an independent Catholic school for girls from Kindergarten to Year 12 with an enrolment of over 1,100 students.
