The Position
Victoria Police are seeking to appoint a Director, Security and Management Services to the Information, Systems and Security Command (ISSC) team responsible for providing overall governance and strategic direction for information and communication technology, information management and protective security for Victoria Police. The Command delivers ICT projects and programs and continuously provides maintenance, support and improvement of the ICT applications, communications and infrastructure.
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Director will be accountable for the provision of policy and advisory services relating to protective security; supporting the Command in the provision of governance services across the organisation’s ICT investment and service delivery; development and continuous improvement of ICT service performance and related frameworks, policies and standards; and business management and administration services for the Command.
To be successful in the role you will offer proven strategic leadership experience and a track record of effectively managing cross-functional team capabilities and commitment in a highly complex and sensitive environment. With high level expertise and specialist technical knowledge in information and operational systems management, you will bring strong project/program management and oversight skills. The ability to communicate and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels within the organisation and externally, and developing collaborative partnerships are essential. Comprehensive knowledge of governance, contract management and administration associated with ICT frameworks are key to this role.
