Board Director – SME Experience
Queen Victoria Market Pty Ltd (QVMPL) is a Melbourne icon and an epicentre of small business retail, hospitality, tourism, and cultural and community events.
QVMPL is a whole owned subsidiary of the City of Melbourne, and the city is seeking to appoint two new Directors.
We are looking for expressions of interest from Victorians with specific expertise as follows:
Board Director – SME Experience (Ref: QVMdsm0821)
QVMPL requires a Director with demonstrated experience in Market related or SME environments. The successful candidate will have experience in running businesses in the hospitality, fresh produce, general retail, arts and crafts or cultural events. The successful candidate will be able to provide independent, strategic advice to QVMPL and will understand how to develop a unique customer and trading experience in a rapidly changing consumer environment.
Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate an ability to support the Market in delivering on its QVM Future Market Strategy which can be found at:

Each Director will bring an element of expertise that will complement the skills of existing Directors. We also seek individuals that contribute diversity and inclusion to the Board.
Employees and family members of QVMPL, the City of Melbourne or Queen Victoria Market traders are not eligible to apply.
