The Position
Silver Chain Group, a forward thinking and innovative provider of health and aged community care services across Australia seeks to appoint a dynamic and sophisticated communications professional as the company’s inaugural Director, Strategic Communications, responsible for corporate affairs, brand and marketing. This appointment comes at a critical juncture for the organisation as it continues to build stronger capability across the East Coast and as it prepares to update its corporate strategy.
Based in Melbourne and sitting on the executive leadership team, the position has responsibility over internal and external communications that lead to the development of a truly national brand, advocacy with key external stakeholders and an increasing ability to attract and retain employees. Greater community awareness of and demand for Silver Chain Group services and the ability to contribute to improved community health and ageing literacy are also key outcomes.
The successful candidate will be a communications expert who has substantial experience in relevant leadership roles leading multiple teams across internal and external communications capabilities in a large national organisation. Having provided strategic advice to the CEO and senior executives on a range of matters the appointee will also be experienced working at Board level and will have highly developed abilities in executive level conflict engagement and resolution influencing, as well as negotiation and relationship building. Recognized as creative and equipped with outstanding digital expertise the appointee will possess strong capabilities in customer experience and loyalty and will thrive being an integral part of a growing business. Experience gained within the healthcare sector ideal. Relevant tertiary qualifications essential.
