Federation University Australia seeks an outstanding and strategic executive to influence and provide educational leadership and outcomes in teaching and learning to Federation University TAFE (FedUni TAFE). Working in partnership with key internal and government stakeholders, the Director provides strategic advice with regard to VET regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant agencies.
Reporting to the Executive Director, FedUni TAFE, the Director will work closely with the senior TAFE leadership team and will collaborate more broadly across the University. Representing TAFE on relevant University committees, the role will also facilitate the mentoring of teaching staff in relation to excellence in teaching and learning. The position will also be responsible for the delivery of the Certificate IV, TAE and Diploma of VET programs offered by FedUni TAFE.
The successful candidate will bring a proven track record in the leadership of teaching and learning with a detailed understanding of training packages. With strong business acumen, results-focus and the ability to drive and manage organisational and cultural change, the appointee will bring insight into the future directions of vocational education. Outstanding communication skills will be essential, with the ability to lead, mentor and support the team and build collaborative relationships with external stakeholders. Teaching and relevant post-graduate qualifications are mandatory.
