The Position

Mercy Health is a dynamic growing organisation, with a rich history of delivering compassionate health, aged care and community services at every stage of life.

The Director Technology Operations, is a substantive senior leadership role, providing operational leadership and support in the delivery of advanced technical services and platforms to Mercy Health. Accountable both operationally and professionally to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Director Technology Operations is responsible for the delivery of the information technology operations function across the three business lines of Mercy Health: health services, healthy ageing and support services. With an appetite for transformation and technology modernisation of the core services that the group delivers, the Director will lead the development and delivery of the IT infrastructure and services future roadmap, to prioritise and inform investment opportunities for Mercy Health in technology operations. The Director will also support the building of capability and the continued development of a customer centred approach to delivering services and supporting the needs of the organisation.

The incoming Director Technology Operations will be an experienced operational senior leader and will have proven experience in organisational change management, leading the transformation and building of a high performing, customer focused team.  The Director will have a strong background in leading an operational team that has supported a wide range of information activities in a large enterprise or complex environment. The incumbent will be an engaging leader, with well-developed communication skills and have the ability to influence and navigate the complexities of the environment. Post graduate qualifications or equivalent experience in management or business-related discipline will be highly regarded.
