DELWP is working with Victorian industry and the community to develop a secure and sustainable energy future for Victoria. Its Energy Project and Programs Division will now deliver the Victorian Government’s second Renewable Energy Auction Scheme.
The Director role will provide advice and direction on the delivery of the Auction. This will support investment in new renewable generation to create jobs, support the state’s economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, and contribute to the achievement of Victoria’s renewable energy targets and meet emission reduction targets.
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will be responsible for sound contract and project management and proactive stakeholder engagement. You will provide authoritative and strategic advice to the Minister and departmental executives on energy policy and analysis. Success requires energy or related sector experience involving economic policy, analysis, and regulation. Your experience may have been gained in the public and/or private sectors.
Leading a small team, you will have values driven leadership and be someone that enjoys leading and developing people. Advanced communication skills and the ability to influence outcomes at senior levels both internally and externally are required. Relevant tertiary qualifications are expected.
The appointment will be for a 3-year fixed term.
