The Position
Reporting to the Board Secretary and working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Operating Officer, this role will provide advice, support and response to a range of complex and sensitive issues in an environment characterized by conflicting priorities and political and social sensitivities.
The appointee will ensure the timely flow of information to and from the office of the Board Secretary and will act as a strategic partner, connector and conduit between key stakeholders, VIPs, major donors, board members and the chief executive. Providing full administrative support to the Board Chair with regards to meetings, agendas, follow up actions. With a collaborative and agile style, the Executive Advisor will coordinate and administer a number of events, projects, technical and/or highly sensitive activities, including research and analysis, and will drive special business projects.
The successful candidate will be a visible operator who is politically astute and a pragmatic thinker. The appointee will possess exceptional written and oral communication skills with a high level of computer literacy. They will contribute to a positive workgroup culture and professional presentation of the Corporate Office. Tertiary qualifications are mandatory and an understanding of the government and/or health sector would be highly regarded.
