The Position
Ambulance Victoria (AV) seeks a highly experienced Executive Assistant to support the Executive Director of Equality & Workplace Reform. This newly created position is a key support role, with a high level of responsibility and impact.  Working proactively with Executive Director and the leadership team, this is a critical support role as AV seeks to build its newly formed Equality & Workplace Reform Division and make meaningful change to prevent and respond effectively to unlawful and harmful workplace conduct and inequality.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Executive Assistant is primarily responsible for providing high level comprehensive administrative support to the Executive Director, ensuring issues and requests for assistance are actioned appropriately. Other key activities include developing and managing systems to support smooth operations, preparation and management of documentation ensuring confidentiality. position with be the establishment and maintenance of highly effective and constructive relationship with key internal and external stakeholders including the CEO’s office, the Board, the Department of Health and the Minister’s Office.
This role calls for exceptional attention to detail, a demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a complex environment and the ability to work effectively under pressure and within tight timeframes, including strong planning, organising and time management skills to prioritise tasks, manage conflicting priorities and achieve outcomes within required timeframes.  To be successful in this role the appointee will have a clear understanding of and experience in supporting regulatory, government and public sector environments. Advanced computer skills, familiarity with Internet applications and proficiency of Microsoft Office suite are essential for this fast-paced role. Key to success in the position will be a collaborative approach and positive mindset.
