The Position

The Victorian Commercial Teachers’ Association (VCTA) is seeking to appoint a contemporary leader with broad management experience and strong financial skills to the position of Executive Director.

The VCTA is a medium sized business which operates several entities including, Victorian Commercial Teachers’ Association offering professional services to members, National Curriculum Services Pty Ltd, a national educational consultancy that works with a range of clients to provide educational services and VCTA Properties Pty Ltd which manages the investment/property held by the parent entity VCTA. The Executive Director is responsible for all three entities and is supported by four full-time staff and approximately 20 contractors. This role is a unique opportunity to lead a well-established and financially stable organisation. The Executive Director will manage all entities, maintain current contracts in place and develop the next steps towards growth and sustainability.

The Executive Director is a highly visible position in the educational community and to ensure success in the role the appointee will demonstrate an ability to build trust, rapport and develop collaborative working relationships at all levels.

The Organisation

The VCTA is an independent organisation providing leadership, support services, programs, and resources to educators. VCTA’s Australia-wide membership is drawn from people working in schools, groups and organisations associated with schools, tertiary institutions, and teachers in training. It is a not-for-profit membership-based organisation dedicated to providing services to its members.

The VCTA and NCS are well respected professional educational organisations and provide leadership, support services, programs, and resources to educators.
