The Position
The Executive Director Acute Services is responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of a range of acute surgical and medical programs and services, to deliver excellence in patient outcomes and care. This position has executive responsibility to contribute to the organisational strategic plan whilst focusing on performance improvement across patient access and quality of care.  Continuing to foster the already established strong relationships with all clinicians will be a high priority.  The driving of strategic initiatives such as; discharge management process, the management of specialist clinics, managing patient flow, theatre efficiency and meeting elective surgery targets will also be key areas of focus for this position.
The successful candidate will be a strategic and collaborative leader, with outstanding stakeholder relationship skills coupled with extensive experience gained in acute services and healthcare management, operating within a complex environment. The appointee will be highly innovative and engaging and demonstrate expertise in continuous improvement and quality assurance. Presenting with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, the ideal candidate will be a strong people manager, with the proven ability to lead.
