The Position
Silverchain Group is moving to an integrated approach to client care, across both aged and health care service provision and enabling state-based service delivery underpinned by a national approach to collective impact. The Executive Director Care, Governance and Risk will provide organisational leadership for the achievement of the Strategy 2030 Best Care Domain, aimed at positioning Silverchain Group as the leading home care provider in Australia, differentiated by quality and safety, through ensuring the highest quality experience for every client, every time, that is safe, personal, connected and effective.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director Care, Governance and Risk will take carriage for care, governance and risk management for the Silverchain Group, ensuring Best Care is provided nationally in both home and community health and aged care, and will work in close collaboration with the executive leadership team, Executive Medical Directors and state leads to achieve collective impact for community.
The successful incumbent will be a proven executive leader with experience leading care governance and risk within a large complex environment (health service/aged care), embedding a strong culture of excellence in service quality and clinical risk management. A highly collaborative, influential and strategic leader, the Executive Director will lead teams to achieve the highest levels of care and accreditation and work in close collaboration with clinical expert peers.  Expertise in developing meaningful and active consumer and carer partnerships, consumer participation and diversity and inclusion approaches will be critical for the success of this role. Strong financial acumen, agility in thinking and approach and the ability to adapt in a changing environment will contribute to success.  Clinical tertiary qualifications and a Master’s level qualification in a relevant field will be highly regarded.
