The position
TAFE SA seeks an outstanding, strategic leader to manage all aspects of the organisation’s educational delivery and student lifecycle.  Working in partnership with key internal, government and industry stakeholders, the Executive Director Education will ensure that teaching and learning across the organisation is contemporary and embraces innovation.
Reporting to the Chief Executive and with nine direct reports across multiple campuses, the Executive Director, Education works in partnership with the Chief Executive and Executive Management Team, leading the teaching and learning business units to achieve objectives and performance targets and implement the strategic and operational direction of TAFE SA.
The successful candidate will bring a proven track record in the leadership of a customer-focussed organisation of scale and complexity.  With strong business acumen, results-focus and the ability to drive and manage organisational and cultural change, the appointee will bring insight into the future directions of vocational education, with the ideas to drive local opportunities and government policy objectives.  Outstanding communication skills will be essential, with the ability to influence a range of stakeholders.  A graduate qualification in management, business, education or another relevant field is mandatory and a post-graduate qualification in education highly regarded.

TAFE SA is South Australia’s largest vocational education and training provider and one of the largest in Australia.  With over 70,000 student enrolments each year, courses cover more than 80 areas of industry and activity, with flexible delivery options at over 300 locations across the state and beyond, via online offerings.
