The Position
South West Healthcare is currently seeking to appoint a senior executive to the position of Executive Director People and Culture to lead the delivery of comprehensive strategic and operational people and culture solutions aligned to strategic business plans.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, this position will be a key member of the South West Healthcare Executive Leadership Team.  The Executive Director will prioritise a best practice, contemporary people services delivery model focused on developing capability in leadership, supporting workplace culture, health safety and wellbeing, industrial relations, workforce planning, performance management and change.  Responsibility will focus on developing and implementing a strategic workforce approach for the promotion of a positive culture, employee engagement and ensuring strategic organisational and service delivery goals are met.  The Executive Director will work collaboratively to build a high functioning people and culture team that actively supports growth across the organisation.
With proven experience in effectively leading human resource management functions the successful candidate will demonstrate strong prior experience and demonstrate high levels of credibility.  While experience in a health service delivery environment will be advantageous, strong human resources experience gained at the executive level in other highly complex environments will be well regarded.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, combined with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships and stakeholder relationships, are vital.  Key to success will be the ability to drive outstanding outcomes through people and the coordination of resources.  Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline are essential.  The position is based at the Warrnambool campus and the successful appointee will be required to relocate to the area.
