The Position
Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Director People and Culture will play a leading role in the implementation of systems that drive cultural improvements which embrace a patient first philosophy, whilst assisting Eastern Health to become a more agile organisation.
The Executive Director will assume responsibility for the development and implementation of strategic human resource policies and practices, incorporating; Safety, Organisational Development, Industrial Relations, Workforce Sustainability, Business Partnering and Advice, Talent Acquisition, Remuneration and Benefits, Volunteers and Communications.  With a staff of 100 and a budget of $9 million, the position will have accountability for creating an employee experience in which the workforce is safe, inspired, connected and empowered whilst bringing Eastern Health’s values, mission and vision to life.
The successful candidate will possess outstanding communication skills, demonstrate executive HR leadership experience and the ability to coach and bring teams of people together. Experience in driving an effective organisational development strategy and engaging a workforce to ensure cultural change which delivers high performing, patient centric outcomes is vital. Well-developed project management skills coupled with experience in a safety orientated environment will be well regarded. Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline are essential.
