The Organisation
Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) is a unique cross-border health service, providing the ‘Best of Health’ to more than 250,000 people  across North East Victoria and Southern New South Wales. Operating under the Victorian Department of Health and across 17 campuses, AWH is the second largest regional health service provider and is a major player in community life within the region.

AWH has been a combined Health Service for approximately 12 years and it is now at a time of maturity where the service is moving to the next phase of growth and expansion of capacity, leadership and profile as a major regional service.

The Position
Reporting to, and working closely with the CEO, the Executive Director, People & Culture is a key member of the Executive team and plays an integral role in the successful delivery of the organisations strategy and growth agenda.

Leading a strong and experienced team, the ED People & Culture will provide strategic and operational leadership and drive and deliver the People and Culture Strategy and business plans of the function. As an Executive sponsor, the Executive Director will also  lead the organisation on a journey of significant cultural transformation over the coming four years (Culture 2025) aligning culture with purpose, vision and values.  The ED People & Culture will also work closely across the organisation to support workforce planning, organisational development, safety and wellbeing , workplace relations and employee benefits matters.

With tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related field, the ED People and Culture will be an experienced executive leader with the ability to lead and deliver on strategic objectives of AWH. Experience at the executive level within health or complex environments is essential. Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills will be key to the success of this role.
