The Position
The Stroke Foundation is currently seeking to appoint a respected professional to the role of Executive Director, Stroke Services. The incumbent will ensure excellence in the development and delivery of clinical and consumer programs that educate, treat and support survivors to live their best possible life after stroke.
As a key member of the Executive Leadership team and reporting to the CEO, the Executive Director, Stroke Services will take a lead role in championing strong relationships with key clinical networks, industry and consumer stakeholders. A critical element of the role will be to identify and develop growth opportunities for the organisation.
The successful candidate will be a leader with demonstrated experience in health, health related or not for profit organisations. Possessing outstanding interpersonal skills and proven team building capabilities, you will have applied knowledge of chronic disease prevention and community engagement practices that evolve guideline development and contribute to national educational programs. With an engaging approach you will foster collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders and motivate and inspire teams to achieve the best outcomes within a complex environment. A tertiary qualification is essential and a postgraduate qualification in health or a health-related field or business administration is desirable

The Stroke Foundation is a national charity that partners with the community to prevent, treat and beat stroke.
In Australia there are approximately 56, 000 new and recurrent strokes each year, with one occurring every 9 minutes. Despite public perception, Stroke is largely preventable and is highly treatable.
The Stroke Foundation stand alongside stroke survivors and their families, healthcare professionals and researchers, building community awareness, fostering new thinking and innovative treatments
