About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional educator with a passion for providing high level strategic leadership in the development of tailored evidence-based programs, professional learning and instructional resources to build the capability of teachers and school leaders to align to the Department’s student focused outcomes.
This role is a critical member of the leadership team responsible for the delivery of educational outcomes that align with the Department’s strategy and put students and young people at the centre of all our decision making.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who:

  • Holds appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as education, business, management, social sciences or communications, and/or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Holds a valid Working with Children Check (WWC) clearance.
  • Demonstrates extensive experience at a senior level in the management of a large complex organisation.
  • Brings a knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensuring quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
