The Position

The Executive Manager Clinical Services, is a key executive management role and will work with the CEO and executive team to lead and manage the strategic direction and operations of Clinical Services at Rural Northwest Health.

The Executive Manager Clinical Services will be responsible for Clinical Governance and Risk management and will ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and the National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards, to deliver services that meet all regulatory requirements and are of an exceptional standard.

Key responsibilities will be ensuring that safe high-quality services are delivered to the community through building strong teams that are skilled, engaged and dedicated to achieving this aim

This full-time leadership position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and leads a committed and capable clinical services team across three campuses.  The role has a strong focus on continuous improvement, innovation and collaboration to improve consumer care outcomes.

The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership experience as a senior nurse manager or executive and an understanding of relevant legislation and governing regulations.  Knowledge of governance and risk management systems, strong communication and relationship building skills are essential requirements.  The successful candidate will demonstrate values-based leadership attributes and preferably bring previous experience in a rural health setting.

This position requires registration as a nurse under AHPRA prior to commencing work.  RNW can provide support to international candidates in navigating Australian legislation and AHPRA registration requirements.  Current evidence of immunisation history and/or serology results must be provided.

The Organisation

Rural Northwest Health (RNH) employs 290 team members across the campuses of Warracknabeal, Beulah and Hopetoun. RHN has a total of 90 residential aged care (RAC) beds, including 15 in the award­winning memory support unit, 16 acute beds and all three centres have a broad range of community health services keeping our community well at home. The population of the communities served by Rural Northwest Health is about 5000 people within the Yarriambiack Shire.
