The position
South West TAFE seek an innovative educational expert to drive forward-thinking teaching and learning programs and approaches across the Institute, region and beyond.  The role will provide strategic advice to the CEO and will liaise extensively with education, industry, business and community representatives in the development and implementation of strategic objectives in innovative and pedagogically sound approaches to teaching and learning.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this position is a part of the Institute’s Executive Team that ensures that innovative, flexible and customer-focussed education and training services are provided to clients across the region.  The Executive Manager also supports the Teaching Managers in ensuring that the planning, ongoing administration and delivery of educational programs are efficient, cost effective and comply with quality standards and contractual obligations.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in educational leadership and management, bringing an understanding of current issues and developments in the vocational education and training sector.  A background in teaching and learning programs and their administration will be essential, and relevant teaching and industry experience and networks will be highly regarded.  With outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills, the Executive Manager will be degree-qualified, with extensive leadership and management experience.  The ideal candidate will be cognisant of the challenges and opportunities facing the south-west Victoria region and the critical role that South West TAFE plays in skilling and empowering the community.
