The Position
The Executive Manager Finance (Deputy CFO) is responsible for the collaborative leadership and management of the finance team to ensure the sound, effective, financial management of CFA’s operating budget and the provision of financial services to support CFA’s corporate strategy. The role reports to the Executive Director Finance, Chief Financial Officer.
Success requires maximising the value delivered by the Finance Directorate through collaborative and productive relationships with internal clients and stakeholders. This requires exceptional interpersonal skills, in particular the ability to negotiate and influence effectively.
You will be a collaborative, people-focused leader who brings a sharp focus to financial sustainability and continuous improvement. As an accomplished senior financial executive, you have both breadth and depth in finance functions, and are confident in developing long term strategy and engagement for Executive and Board level. A reputation for the highest levels of integrity must be your hallmark.
Important criteria are expertise in accounting standards and other policies relevant to public sector financial management, governance, and reporting. Professionally qualified accountant status with full and current membership of the CAANZ, CPA, or equivalent is expected.
