The Position
The award winning health service, Rural Northwest Health, seeks to appoint a talented, energetic and forward-thinking Human Resources leader to become its new Executive Manager, People, Culture & Safety. This position acts as the architect for the organisation’s talent strategy, corporate culture and safety initiatives.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this position will be a key member of the Rural Northwest Health team and will act as a trusted adviser on all people related matters. The Executive Manager, People, Culture & Safety will take a lead role in developing critical workforce plans and will be responsible for delivering on both current and future workforce needs. Responsibility will focus on providing strong support to enable the organisation to build on its culture, behaviours and people engagement.
The successful candidate will be a contemporary human resources leader who thinks at both the strategic and operational level. With proven experience in effectively leading human resource management functions, the appointee will evidence a record of designing and implementing workforce strategies and plans. Critical to success will be the ability to build capability in the Executive as well as driving, implementing and embedding sustainable change. Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, combined with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships and stakeholder relationships, are vital.  A background in health care, aged care or community services is not essential. This role will suit the sort of person who is inspired by what can be achieved through an engaged and skilful workforce. Appropriate tertiary qualifications are essential.
The Organisation
Rural Northwest Health provides responsive quality healthcare and community services by empowering a skilled and committed team of approximately 250 team members across the campuses of Warracknabeal, Beulah and Hopetoun.
The key focus of Rural Northwest Health is caring, supporting people to be healthy, and living a full life. The organisation has 90 residential aged care (RAC) beds, including 15 in the award-winning memory support unit as well as 16 acute beds. All three campuses have a broad range of community health services keeping our community well at home. The population of the communities served by Rural Northwest Health is roughly 5000 people within the Yarriambiack Shire.
