Southern Cross University is a young and vibrant, multi-campus university located on Australia’s east coast with a long history in the development of specialised courses and research that engages with industry and community.  A leader of tertiary education in complementary medicine since its foundation 25 years ago, the University aims to be at the forefront of solutions to Australia’s growing healthcare needs where evidence-based natural medicine plays an increasingly critical role.
Southern Cross is seeking to appoint an outstanding candidate to the position of Foundation Director to lead the newly-established National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine.
With a strong evidence-based scientific and multidisciplinary research focus, the Centre will play a leading role in postgraduate education and research in naturopathic medicine, while enhancing the future growth and development of the profession.
With responsibility for the operational leadership and the strategic direction of the Centre, the Director will oversee the development of the Centre’s education and research programs, establish and implement management and governance structures, and collaborate widely to create strategic relationships with industry and other key stakeholders.
With a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline, the appointee will have demonstrated scholarly research in the practice of naturopathic medicine, and an established industry profile.
