The Position

Peninsula Health seeks to appoint a customer centric and growth- oriented leader to become the General Manager of its commercial arm, the MePACS personal alarm business. The General Manager is responsible for all areas of operational performance as well as building relationships with key stakeholders across government and industry.

Reporting to Peninsula Health’s Executive Director Finance and Commercial (CFO), the General Manager of MePACS will drive organisational agility in a rapidly developing market ensuring that optimal systems, processes and structures are in place to sustain forecasted growth. Developing robust workforce plans will be a key element of the role, as will be exploring new opportunities for growth, innovation and research. The General Manager will interface across Peninsula Health including at Board level.

Equipped with experience leading significant high risk change in an organisation, the successful candidate will evidence strong leadership skills and proactive management of stakeholders. They will demonstrate well developed financial management and problem solving skills and have a proven record of business development and leading growth in a service environment. Possessing well-developed interpersonal skills, they will be the sort of person who strives for excellence and who is a positive role model. They will be collaborative, transparent, accountable and innovative, and will be recognised as being compassionate and respectful with consumers and their teams. Experience across technology related health products/services is highly desirable.
