The Position
Mallee Family Care is currently seeking to appoint an experienced, innovative senior leader to oversee services across out of home care and family support services across Northern Victoria and Southern New South Wales. The General Manager Child and Family Services oversees delivery of services that increase impact for clients, enhances practice excellence and provides high quality services to the community.
Reporting to the Director Client Services, and as a member of the management team, the General Manager Child and Family Services will maintain strategic and operational oversight and leadership to this critically important team. The position provides direct line management of relevant Service Managers enabling the team to increase impact. It also ensures sustainable funding to support strategic direction and maintain a high-performance team culture, characterised by practice excellence and client led outcome successes.
The successful candidate will be experienced in leading human centred service teams and have a track record of delivering against robust quality frameworks, fostering innovation and new initiatives, whilst successfully managing operational risk associated with human service delivery. An understanding of contemporary issues facing the child and family services sector.
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or equivalent are mandatory. Post graduate qualifications in Business Management will be highly regarded. Relocation support will be considered, and candidates may be eligible for rural and remote living allowance, as well as salary packaging entitlements.
