The Position
Reporting to the Chief Clinical Governance & Risk Officer, the General Manager Clinical Governance will primarily be responsible for leading the development and deployment of sustainable clinical governance systems and processes to support Japara’s capability build in quality.
The General Manager Clinical Governance will work to significantly increase the focus on quality and governance across the organisation, with a view to increase skill and capability and build a cohesive team.  The position will manage a develop a team of Business Partners, developing programs to ensure full compliance with Japara policies, embedding the Aged Care Quality Standards and deliver continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will will demonstrate experience gained within acute health, aged care or the broader health sector.  With demonstrated experience operating in a complex environment, the appointee will have worked in delivering health governance and reporting.  Recognised as a strong communicator with an ability to create and embed clinical governance frameworks, the successful candidate will have a proven ability to ensure good governance is part of the business culture.  The appointee will be highly credible, innovative, engaging and possess an ability to adapt to different audiences.
