The Position
Uniting Vic. Tas are seeking to appoint a strategic and future focused GM of Finance and Technology and Chief Financial Officer who will be the organisational lead for finance and technology/systems and bring vision and creativity to the long-term strategic planning and development and delivery of key strategic and organisational priorities.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and aligning with Uniting’s purpose and values, this position is a key strategic member of the senior executive team contributing to the operational efficiency of the $300+ million business. The position leads a team of 70 staff managed through five direct reports and is responsible for a budget of approximately $8 million. Capability to effectively work with the board is a given.
Providing leadership for the finance, accounting and systems functions in a complex setting, the successful candidate will have high level analytical skills and work across the organisation, bringing stakeholders together to identify operational imperatives for improvement and work collaboratively to problem-solve and develop future focused solutions. You will possess exceptional people skills and be an influential and respectful voice, fostering collaborative relationships.
The successful candidate will have a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and be a CA/CPA. An MBA would be highly desirable.

Uniting Vic.Tas is the community services organisation of the Uniting Church and is one of the largest community services providers in Victoria and Tasmania. Working alongside people of all ages in local communities in Victoria and Tasmania, our services reach to Albury-Wodonga in the North, Mallacoota in East Gippsland and the Wimmera region in the West and across Tasmania.
