The Position
A dynamic and evolving community services provider, Jewish Care Victoria seeks to appoint a talented, energetic and forward-thinking General Manager People & Culture. This opportunity presents itself at an exciting time as the organisation is reimagining and transforming its service offering across areas of aged care, disability, and individual and family services. The GM will act as a true business partner providing leadership and high-quality advice and support across all workforce related matters; delivering a leading staff value proposition within a client centric culture.
As a trusted adviser to the CEO and Executive Team, this key leadership role will be responsible for delivering on both the current and future workforce needs of the organisation. Fostering and harnessing the benefits of a true learning culture, the GM will develop and oversee an effective leadership develop strategy, an active succession planning system, and a robust mentoring program. The GM will also have oversight for the activation of a state-of-the-art Learning & Education Centre, to educate a future generation of highly skilled and motivated support staff.
The successful candidate will be a contemporary human resources leader who thinks at both the strategic and operational level and who can evidence a track record of driving, implementing and embedding sustainable change. Self-motivated and eager to make a positive impact, the appointee will be collaborative and will possess outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills. While they may or may not have a background in aged care or community services, they will be the sort of person who is inspired by what can be achieved through an engaged and skilful workforce. Appropriate tertiary qualifications are essential.
