The Position
This is an exciting time to join the leadership team at Uniting AgeWell (UA) as the organisation pursues a universal growth strategy. The General Manager People Services will provide leadership and high quality service delivery across all workforce related matters, while fostering a client focused culture for more than 2,500 employees.
Reporting to the CEO, this is an executive level position with responsibility for the three key portfolios of workforce, education and safety. The position will develop, implement and maintain a workforce plan to support UA service delivery requirements, ensure an appropriate staff recruitment and retention strategy is implemented, and provide industrial relations leadership. A key focus of this role will be to build capability and drive cultural change to support the organisations strategic objectives.
The successful candidate will possess outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills in order to build relationships whilst ensuring contemporary leadership. Demonstrated executive HR leadership experience and the ability to coach and bring diverse teams of people together is essential. The appointee will demonstrate experience within a health or not-for-proŽ t organisation, while knowledge of and experience in the aged care sector will be well regarded. Appropriate tertiary qualifications are required.
