The primary role of the General Manager, Regulatory Support and Governance is to lead and manage the enabling programs within ASQA.  As a member of the Senior Management Group, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting ASQA’s drive toward its goal of being a proactive, risk-based regulator.
Reporting to and working closely with the Commissioner, Risk, Intelligence and Regulatory Support, this key position builds relationships and linkages between the enabling and regulatory portfolios and to provide strong leadership and management to the following enabling functions:

  • Governance, Policy and Quality
  • Finance and Facilities
  • People and Culture
  • IT and Information Management
  • Communication, Education and Service Delivery

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with significant senior management experience, gained in large and complex functions.  The appointee will have a strategic focus and the ability to communicate with influence to drive results and build and nurture both internal and external relationships.  Experience in a regulatory environment and/or the VET sector is highly desirable, as is a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or extensive experience in a similar role.
