The Position
The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne (RDHM) provides general, specialist and emergency dental care to all eligible Victorians. It is also a valued teaching hospital. By living the values of accountability, collaboration, respect and transform the General Manager in collaboration with the Executive and DHSV stakeholders will build a learning organisation that researches and implements world leading practices in oral health care.
Reporting to the CEO, the General Manager will provide leadership and management oversight for the operations of the RDHM. The General Manager will develop innovative and co-designed models of care that are person centred, have a public health and value-based approach, are cost-effective and integrate with community dental agencies. Driving continuous improvement and shaping a high performing organisational culture are key elements of the role.
The successful candidate will:

• Present with senior management experience in a complex health setting
• demonstrate experience in setting direction and leading business performance.
• have a strong understanding of value-based healthcare
• have managed significant budgets
• demonstrate a well-developed understanding of lean methodology
• have the proven ability to inspire and embed positive change.
