The Position

With an ambitious mandate for growth, this values based community organisation in Melbourne’s north east has created a new executive role to focus on shaping strategy, developing partnerships and strengthening advocacy.

Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the executive team, the General Manager Strategy & Growth will lead the organisation to grow via mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, new service development and service growth. Key elements of the role include preparing material for setting the Strategic Plan and leading the execution of that plan, analysing the market and community need, developing and launching innovative new services, analysing and reporting on government policy and considering tender opportunities.

Equipped with experience gained in private or NFP sectors, the successful candidate will be recognised as an entrepreneurial and innovative leader who is driven, resilient, positive and energetic. Possessing outstanding strategic capabilities, strong advocacy and influencing skills, the appointee will present as a collaborative and inspiring leader who is comfortable challenging ‘business as usual’.

Our client is an independent community organisation in Melbourne’s North Eastern suburbs. It provides a range of supports and services to vulnerable people in the community. It has operated for over 40 years and finds itself at an exciting juncture with a mandate for growth, an entrepreneurial CEO and a Board that has a strong appetite for growth and innovation.
