General Manager VETASSESS

Bendigo Kangan Institute (BKI) is seeking to appoint a highly strategic and commercially savvy General Manager to deliver outstanding and contemporary leadership of Australia’s leading vocational education and training (VET) skills assessment provider, VETASSESS for both migration and national skills recognition.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the General Manager VETASSESS (GMVA) will be responsible for ensuring that the organisation continues to be a premium assessment partner of choice for individuals, training providers, industry groups and government agencies. Focussed on deepening migration support, diversifying assessment services and enhancing organisational capability, the GMVA will manage relationships with State and Commonwealth government organisations, international governments and their relevant agencies, enterprises and peak industry bodies to grow and enhance assessment service contracts with national and international clients.
With extensive experience in business planning, stakeholder and business development, product innovation, service delivery, people leadership, customer service, financial management and regulatory compliance, the new GMVA will be a values-based, socially inclusive, collaborative and resilient leader with the capacity to build organisational-wide capability and agility. Possessing a strategic mindset and the ability to drive change and continuous improvement, the new GMVA will demonstrate the ability to drive a progressive and globally-focussed strategic agenda which optimises growth.
About Bendigo Kangan Institute

Bendigo Kangan Institute was established in 2014 by the merger of two TAFE institutes – Bendigo TAFE and Kangan Institute – and two related service providers – VETASSESS and eWorks. The organisation is one of Victoria’s most prominent vocational training providers.
In 2016, Bendigo Kangan Institute provided training to over 32,000 students in health and community services, environment and primary industries, hair and beauty, creative industries, trades, automotive, professional industries and foundation studies. Through VETASSESS, BKI also provided almost 30,000 skills assessments, while eWorks supported over 87 e-learning customers and hosted digital content used by over 115,000 users
