Our client is a membership based club and they are seeking to appoint a contemporary and visionary leader to the position of General Manager. The General Manager will develop and implement the Club’s next five-year strategic plan, with a focus on further growth and sustainability, ensuring the Club remains vibrant, relevant and future focused, whilst retaining the long-standing culture and traditions of an international association.
Reporting to the President, the General Manager will have accountability for all strategic, governance, financial, operational, people and administrative aspects of the Club. The General Manager will provide clear leadership and direction, whilst building organisational capabilities and fostering a performance-driven and client-focused culture.
The ideal candidate will bring an understanding of the unique characteristics of a private club, whilst being financially attuned to the imperatives of a membership driven organisation. A background in hospitality is important, coupled with excellent interpersonal and advocacy skills. You will be a strong people leader, able to engage, motivate and develop staff . A tertiary qualification in business, finance or commerce is essential.
