Catalyst Education seeks an outstanding individual to provide leadership in the formulation and implementation of strategies, policies and tools to assist the group’s registered training organisations (RTOs) to continuously improve their performance, manage their governance and quality against regulatory requirements and ensure risks to quality vocational education and training are managed.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working collaboratively as part of both the senior executive team and senior leadership team, the Head of Governance, Risk and Quality will set the strategic direction for governance, risk and quality, gaining the commitment of a range of stakeholders to deliver this vision.  The role will also fulfil governance functions and accountabilities across the business, leading internal audit processes and ensuring sound risk management standards.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, keen to drive opportunities and results to empower a more compassionate society through education.  With relevant industry experience and a thorough knowledge of the VET sector, you will be knowledgeable about quality frameworks and standards for RTOs, in addition to state funding contracts, trends and developments.  The ability to engage and build positive relationships with a range of stakeholders will be key to success and you will thrive in a collaborative environment as part of a senior leadership team.  With a strategic and analytical mindset, the successful candidate will have strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and solve problems.  An appropriate tertiary qualification and/or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment will be highly regarded.
The position is based at Catalyst’s offices on Melbourne’s Southbank.
