The Position
The Alcohol and Drug Foundation seeks to appoint a dynamic leader to the position of Head of Marketing and Communications to provide strategic direction and leadership across all marketing, public relations and communication initiatives for the organisation. This position will lead the design and development of an integrated strategy to support the success of program delivery while strengthening the reputation of the ADF in the Alcohol and Other Drug space.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the position will provide significant leadership and be a key contributor to the Executive team. Building upon ADF’s brand and reputation, the position will drive effective and innovative engagement across brand and reputation across all channels. Central to the position will be the development of ADF’s digital capability and the position will use data to provide high level strategic advice to the executive team and other internal stakeholders. Responding to a range of complex and sensitive issues is also a key requirement for the role as well as the oversight of the ADF’s philanthropic and fundraising strategy.
Regarded as a contemporary marketing and communications professional, the successful candidate will demonstrate a strong capacity to think both strategically and tactically. With proficient analytical and conceptual skills you will have an innovative approach coupled with an understanding of contemporary communication practices in the health promotion space. You will be creative and innovative, and present with highly developed written and verbal communication skills, coupled with exceptional attention to detail. Presenting with an engaging leadership style and as an outstanding collaborator, the successful candidate will have a track record of managing and executing programs, combined with strong budget management skills. Engagement and influencing skills are paramount as well as the ability to develop strong partnerships with stakeholders including government entities, NGOS, academics, media and corporate partners is essential. Relevant tertiary qualifications are required.
