The Position
The Head of Commercial Contracts is an executive position responsible for oversight and management of statutory, legal and commercial obligations with respect to Concession Deeds that regulate the relationship between the Department of Transport (DoT) and VicRoads RLS.

Essential to success is embedding robust policy, systems and processes as well as building positive relationships with State Government to ensure business alignment and best practice governance. Reporting to the Chief of Transformation, Government Relations and Corporate Services, the position is accountable for providing authoritative advice on complex commercial and contract matters, including responding to emerging issues and opportunities, and coordinating performance reporting.

Working closely with the Executive and Senior Leadership teams, you will build and execute sustainable corporate performance improvements contributing to strategic growth and competitive advantage.

You will be an accomplished professional with a track record in the management of complex commercial contracts such as a Joint Venture or franchise agreements and leading contract management teams. You will have a reputation for the highest standards of integrity as well as delivering innovative solutions that best support and balance business and customer outcomes.

A relevant tertiary degree in Business, Law or a related discipline is expected.

VicRoads Registration and Licensing and Custom Plates businesses have recently undergone a major corporate transformation as part of a Joint Venture partnership which is aimed at strengthening service delivery platforms, digital and online products and services, organisational culture, operating models and commercial sustainability to deliver our long-term strategy.
