The Position

Responsive to the needs of students and staff, welcoming of community and compelling for industry partners, the Bendigo Kangan Institute Health and Community Centre of Excellence (HACCOE) is a bold, future-focused and sustainable home for tomorrow’s vocational workforce.  It heralds a new era of health and community education in Australia and beyond.  With significant funding from the Victorian government, HACCOE will provide hands-on and industry relevant specialist simulation spaces on the Broadmeadows campus.

Reporting to the Executive Director Education Delivery, this important role will lead the establishment and development of the Centre that is scheduled to open in October 2024.  As key liaison with partners across BKI’s northern metro locations, the role will lead the establishment of strong community networks and will endure the development of programs that support the student population of these communities.

With significant leadership experience and a strong understanding of industry trends and the policy landscape in education, the ideal candidate will have a background in health and community, outstanding stakeholder engagement skills and networks in industry and the community.  Demonstrating a track record in leading organisational change, and the development and achievement of strategic goals, you will bring enthusiasm to drive this exciting new Centre, providing opportunity and cultivating support within the community.  Personally aligned with BKI’s values of passion; accountability; collaboration; client experience; respect; and integrity, you will provide inspirational leadership to the team, ensuring organisational culture and engagement strategies to drive a great employee experience.  With a degree in a relevant discipline, you will also have experience in developing and managing budgets.

This position is offered on a two year fixed term contract and is based at the Broadmeadows campus.
