The Position
The Head of Joint Venture (JV) Concession Deed is an executive position within the VicRoads Joint Venture responsible for oversight and management of statutory, legal and commercial obligations with respect to the JV.
Essential to success is embedding robust policy, systems and process and building strong relationships with State Government to ensure business alignment and best practice governance. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the position is accountable for providing authoritative advice on complex commercial and contract matters, including responding to emerging issues and opportunities, and coordinating performance reporting to State Government.

You will be an accomplished leader with a track record in relevant complex statutory, legal and commercial matters with exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Highly developed conceptual and analytical abilities are expected. You will have a reputation for the highest standards of integrity as well as delivering positive and innovative solutions that will best support business and customer outcomes and the government’s community objectives.
A relevant tertiary degree in Business, Law or a related discipline is required.
Noting: The Head of VicRoads Concession Deed is being recruited concurrently which will be a comparable role within the Department of Transport. Both roles will liaise and link closely.Â
The Organisation
VicRoads is responsible for licensing approximately five million drivers in Victoria, and registering more than six million cars, motorcycles, heavy vehicles and trailers for the Victorian road network.
The Victorian Government has made an in-principle decision to progress a joint venture model for VicRoads Registration & Licensing, and Custom Plates. The purpose of a joint venture is to modernise a number of VicRoads services to make them more user friendly for motorists and deliver value for money for Victorians.
This is an exciting opportunity to ensure registration and licensing as well as customer plate products and services will be simple, accessible, fast and convenient, ensuring the government delivers contemporary digital systems to all VicRoads customers, industry partners and stakeholders.
