The Position

Mentone Girls’ Grammar School is currently seeking to appoint an experienced Head of Junior School who is committed to providing strategic and visionary leadership in line with the School’s vision and values.

Reporting to the recently appointed Principal, Natalie Charles and supported by the Strategic Management Team, the Head will lead the Junior School through a period of growth and renewal.  The successful candidate will be an influential and visible leader, with the proven capacity to nurture key stakeholder relationships, deliver an exceptional educational offering and take the School into the next phase of its development.

This is a hands-on role and the successful candidate will have a proven track record across all elements of Junior School leadership from Prep to Year 6, including the efficient operations of an ELC.

They will be an outstanding lead educator, who is accustomed to operating within a strategic and high achieving environment.  The appointee will possess an empathetic, relational and resilient leadership style, coupled with high emotional intelligence.  Presenting with strong academic and leadership credentials, the successful candidate will be passionately committed to independent primary education for girls.
