The Position

John XXIII College, Perth, is a Catholic, independent co-educational College grounded in the Ignatian tradition, renowned for its strong academics, inclusivity and broad co-curricular offerings. The College now seeks to appoint a driven and inspirational school leader to the position of Head of Primary.

Reporting directly to the Principal, the Head of Primary is a senior leadership position within the structure of John XXIII College. The Head of Primary assists the Principal in the spiritual, academic, pastoral and administrative domains of leadership. The Head of Primary leads and manages the Primary School.

Demonstrating exceptional leadership experience as a current or aspiring Head in a Primary School environment, the appointee will display an obvious drive and passion for primary education. With a personable and engaging communication style and the ability to nurture stakeholder relationships, the appointee will exhibit a clear ability to continue the dedicated leadership experienced by John XXIII College to date. The Head of Primary will be accountable for student welfare, the management of staff within the Junior School, curriculum oversight and development, communications with parents and the positive promotion of the College.
