  • Key national leadership role
  • Strengthen innovation and enhance service delivery
  • Be part of a collaborative and passionate executive team

Our client seeks to appoint an outstanding executive to the position of Head of Program Delivery to provide strategic and operational leadership and oversee continued enhancement of high quality programs. This position is accountable for the evolution and delivery of the organisation’s established national and high profile programs. This role is a leader of leaders across Australia and ensures that programs achieve high levels of impact.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and as a key member of the Executive Team, the role plays a critical part in facilitating a collaborative culture, an evidence-driven organisation and embedding human centred design processes to deliver significant impact on the harms associated with alcohol and other drugs. The Head of Program Delivery is integral in enabling our client’s purpose of building strong and resilient communities to prevent and minimise alcohol and other drug harms, whist ensuring contractual and funding requirements are fulfilled.
The position supports five State and Territory Managers to create and foster business development opportunities and, in conjunction with the CEO and Advocacy Team, represent organisational policy and advocacy positions to State Governments. Managing a significant proportion of the organisation’s budget through 60 staff, the Head of Program Delivery will engage with funding and program partners, government, corporate, NGO and philanthropic contacts as well as contractors and consultants to oversee the development and delivery of quality evidence-based programs and prepare relevant program reports for funding partners as required.
Well-developed leadership, a focus on innovation and enhancing performance combined with the ability to foster a strong, positive culture is critical to success in this role. Coupled with sound commercial acumen, you will have experience in program design and delivery, combined with the financial and resource management skills to secure funding for the continued delivery of existing programs as well as leading funding proposals, tenders and submissions for new programs. With well-established stakeholder management and communication skills you will develop, manage and maintain strategic relationships as well as engage and consult with community partners.
The role is likely to be based in Melbourne, however high-calibre candidates based outside of Victoria will be considered and are encouraged to apply. A flexible working arrangement is offered with some interstate travel required. Tertiary qualifications are required.
