The Position
Carey Baptist Grammar School seeks to appoint a collaborative and innovative leader to the position of Head of Senior School. As a leader and facilitator, the Head will lead and manage the complete range of operations across the Senior School and will play a key role in imagining the future of Carey and the future of schooling.
Reporting to the Principal and located on the Kew campus, the Head will be responsible for the delivery of a quality education to Senior School students and for the leadership, management and development of the Senior School and its programs. The Senior School is expected to grow from 800 students towards a peak enrolment of 950 students by 2022.
The successful candidate will demonstrate broad experience in the strategic operations of a campus and an understanding of the complexities of leading a Senior School. A strong background in academic programmes and curriculum will be key as the incumbent will be required to uphold the current academic success of the Senior School while innovating and transitioning to new pathways. With a large team to guide, proven leadership ability is important combined with a charismatic style and strong advocacy for excellence in education. The successful candidate with actively promote and foster the Christian values that underpin the School.

Carey Baptist Grammar School is a leading independent co-educational school in Melbourne with 2500 students from early learning to Year 12. The School includes a staff Child Care Centre, Early Learning Centre, two Junior Schools, a Middle School (Years 7–9) and a Senior School (Years 10–12) which offers both IB and VCE.
