The Position
Wesley College seeks to appoint an exceptional and contemporary leader to the position of Head of Sport.  The Head of Sport will report directly to the Principal, Mr Nick Evans and will promote sporting programs to students, staff and the wider Wesley community.
The Head of Sport is responsible for the strategic leadership of the sport program (Years 5-12) across the three metropolitan campuses of Wesley College.  The Head of Sport will have close working relationships with the Heads of Campus and Sports Managers on each campus, the College Sports Administrators, and the Head Coaches with a view to create and manage a multi-faceted and comprehensive sports program.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience leading a complex Sport program, in addition to possessing an understanding and knowledge of contemporary practice in Schools sports programs.  The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in sports administration including budget and contract development and management. The successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal and management skills, ensuring the appointee can ensure children of all skills levels and abilities have a wonderful experience of the large sport offering at Wesley.  The ability to build strong and trusting relationships with all stakeholders will be essential.  Appropriate and relevant tertiary qualifications are mandatory.
