Charles Sturt University seeks an outstanding individual to lead and manage the newly formed School of Dentistry and Medical Sciences.
Accountable to the Executive Dean for the performance of the School in research productivity, learning and teaching, and finance and resource management, the Head of School will ensure that all areas are operating efficiently and cohesively to provide a positive contribution to the mission and values of the Faculty and University.
With the ability to manage, support and drive change, the Head of School will be able to inspire, motivate and lead this School with a diverse health focus, building and nurturing relationships and synergies, both internally and externally, whilst seeking opportunities for growth and development.  Providing exemplary guidance and academic leadership, the appointee will ensure the School delivers high quality learning and teaching, impactful research and meaningful community engagement.
With a doctorate in a discipline relevant to the School, the ideal candidate will bring a strong research profile and record of academic achievement.  Skills and experience in academic leadership will be essential to lead the School, mentoring and developing staff and contributing to the overall management of the Faculty and strategic development of the University as a whole.  High-level managerial proficiency will also include a demonstrated track record in operational leadership, including strategic planning, financial and human resources.  Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills will be key to success in establishing and fostering relationships, both internally, and with a range of external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will ideally be based at the Orange or Wagga Wagga campus.  An attractive relocation package is offered to assist with relocation.
