The Position
Haileybury is seeking to appoint an engaging and determined leader to the position of HR Director to take responsibility for establishing a contemporary HR function at Haileybury, including establishing the overarching HR strategy with embedded HR systems, procedures and policies.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this position will be a true greenfieds position working collaboratively with the Executive to deliver a people strategy to enhance business performance and deliver on the school’s core purpose and objectives. Responsibility will focus on key organisational, change and management issues. The HR Director will develop and manage people capability, including talent, succession and retention activities, while building the employee brand to position Haileybury as an employer of choice.
As a highly experienced and contemporary human resources professional, the successful candidate will demonstrate a background developed in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will have a collaborative style, complemented by strong communication skills and an attitude that is committed to building for the future. The ability to generate ideas, execute well thought out and disciplined plans, and achieve outcomes is essential.  A firm but fair approach, combined with a collaborative and results driven style will ensure success.
Relevant tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in HR or a related field is mandatory.
