This key divisional role is a member of the City’s leadership team providing expert policy and authoritative professional advice on statutory planning, building services and environmental health protection. Success requires supporting the delivery of the Council Plan with high quality and timely decisions and services that reflect leading practice and good governance.
Reporting to the General Manager City Sustainability and Strategy, the position has accountability for developing a planning system that facilitates sustainable development and extracts social, environmental, and economic benefits for the community.
The successful candidate will be an exceptional value driven people leader, have proven complex stakeholder management and have significant experience as a forward-thinking professional in urban development leadership.
