The Position

Brimbank City Council is seeking a Manager Community Care to lead and manage the Community Care Department to ensure the development, implementation and evaluation of integrated community care strategies, policies, services and programs that are of high value to the community and delivered efficiently.

Reporting to the Director Community Wellbeing, the Manager Community Care will lead a high-performance service culture in the areas of Early Years Community Programs, Maternal and Child Health, Youth Services, Service Access (Services and Systems), Service Access (Support and Engagement) and Community Support to ensure that all services adhere to Council priorities and State/Commonwealth funding and policy guidelines.

Leading a committed team of 160 across a diverse community, the position drives policy development based on research and analysis of emerging national and international policy trends and local community needs.

The ideal candidate will bring outstanding leadership skills with a strong focus on quality and customer service   An understanding of government direction and community care issues is essential, as is the ability to lead a high performing team in a collaborative work environment.  Strong communication skills and the ability to partner and build relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders will be key to success.  Relevant tertiary qualifications are required.
