About the role
Reporting to the Director, Community Safety & Recovery, the Manager Community Safety and Compliance will provide visionary and effective leadership to the Community Safety & Compliance Unit.
This role will be responsible for leading the delivery of customer focused statutory enforcement, and compliance and regulatory service across planning, assets and local laws. The position manages Environmental Health, Planning Compliance, Asset Compliance, Animal Management, Local Laws and School Crossing Services.
The leadership team has renewed and is seeking a manager to join the organisation who is outcomes focused and can provide effective management of community safety in accordance with relevant legislation.

We are seeking a contemporary leader who has strong initiative in planning and developing new ideas and approaches to Councils regulatory functions.
With a strategic and forward-thinking mindset, it will be imperative for this person to understand the principles of enforcement and have exceptional communication skills.
You will have knowledge in community safety, compliance or local laws with experience gained in government or other similar complex organisations.
