The Position
Your leadership will work closely with the guide Council to deliver transparent community leadership with the security of probity and legislative compliance. You will lead the delivery of integrity practices to ensure sustainable business frameworks. In this way you will provide our community with the confidence that Council is acting with integrity and compliance in all our activities.
Reporting to the Director Corporate Services, this is Council’s Integrity Lead and Principle Conduct Officer. You will be responsible for the leadership of Council’s Governance team, which supports and provides legislative and probity guidance to Councillors, the Executive Management team and the organisation in the conduct of corporate responsibilities and ensures the organisation’s reputation is maintained and enhanced through well balanced and informed decision making. The position is supported by a team of committed professional and technical officers.
The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate experience of Governance and Integrity principles and their application to Council delivery, practices and procedures. Also the role requires an understanding of Integrity Agency objectives and expectations in the delivery of public sector services.
Tertiary Qualifications in Local Government Governance, Business, Law, Commerce or relevant discipline are expected.
